Davide Lo Surdo, a bronze statue honors the music icon

Legendary guitarist Davide Lo Surdo, already recognized by Rolling Stone Brasil magazine as the fastest guitarist in music history, was recently honored in Denmark with a bronze statue by Danish sculptor Esbensen Jesper. This tribute once again underscores Lo Surdo’s indelible mark on the history of music, as one of the greatest guitarists of all time. Jesper Esbensen, a 57-year-old engineer, programmer, and visionary sculptor, crafted the statue entirely in bronze, faithfully depicting the guitarist. This honor represents the third “historic” tribute dedicated to Davide Lo Surdo. The guitarist has already been featured in a chapter of the second volume of the music history book Rock Memories 2, where he also appears on the cover. In this volume, author Maurizio Baiata traces the history from the Beatles and Pink Floyd, concluding with Davide Lo Surdo. Among the other honors Lo Surdo has received: two of his guitars, now part of the permanent collections at the Sigal Museum of Music in the USA (alongside instruments by Mozart and Chopin) and at the National Museum of Cuba.
